February 23rd Update

Middlesborough has a huge game against Bolton tomorrow night! Coming off this weekend's loss to Leeds, the club is looking for a win tomorrow night. Until this loss, they were on a nine game unbeaten run.

The club lost to Leeds on Saturday, with a score of 1-0. Honestly, it could have been worse and the team has really picked up and prepared for tomorrow night's game. The club is at the top of the Championship but the loss did not allow for them to go four points clear at the top, (BBC Sport). The summary of the game provided by BBC Sport discusses how Boro was in control of the ball for long periods of time but just could not make a go of it. When interviewed after the game, Karanka had nothing but praise for his players. He explained that they played their best and did all they could but in the end, they just could not win. Instead of dwelling on the loss, he took the attention towards tomorrow's game and insisted they must win!

In other news, the club announced their season ticket prices for next season this morning. This is the first time in 10 years they have increased the price, (Gazette Live). In order to secure the lowest prices, tickets must be purchased before April 2. Season tickets include a free drink! Obviously the club is looking to be promoted and if they are, their prices are in line with other clubs in the Premier League.

We'll see how tomorrow's game turns out!
